TAG is seeking a qualified and experienced Residential Real Estate Appraiser to independently handle appraisal reports for a variety of purposes. You will be an integral part of our team, contributing to appraisals for lender transactions and litigation cases such as estate  administration and tax appeals. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with MAIs and gain exposure to the legal aspects of real estate valuation.

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota (remote work available)

• Independently prepare residential appraisal reports for mortgage financing, estate valuation, and tax appeals.
• Conduct thorough on-site inspections of residential properties and interview relevant parties.
• Create accurate building sketches and efficiently input inspection data into our proprietary reporting systems.
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.
• Communicate effectively with residential brokers, public officials, and other market participants.
• Conduct in-depth research, verification, and analysis of comparable residential sales data.
• Perform “highest and best use” analyses and marketability studies for residential properties.
• Contribute to the preparation of narrative appraisal reports through a collaborative team approach.
• Participate in marketing initiatives and contribute ideas for business differentiation.

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) from a 4-year college or university.
• Certified Residential Appraisal License with 3+ years of experience.
• Interest in pursuing advanced appraisal designations.
• Proficiency in basic financial analysis relevant to residential valuation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise reporting and client interactions.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and other valuation software for report generation and data analysis.
• Interest in understanding the legal context of residential appraisals.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of the appraisal process.
• Enthusiasm for working in a positive and growth-focused environment.
