Al founded The Appraisal Group in 1994, building a strong team and wearing multiple hats as CEO. The team became known as TAG, excelling in real estate appraisal. Al values client confidence and treats them like trusted friends. Holding esteemed designations, MAI and Masters in Real Estate Appraising, Al prioritizes professional development. An adventurous spirit, he completed the Twin Cities Marathon and enjoys water sports at his lake home.
Daniel T. Boris

Dan specializes in litigation appraisal with over 35 years of experience. With 1,000+ cases and 200+ Expert Witness appearances, he testifies in various courts and commissions. Organizing assignments and thorough research are key to successful outcomes. Dan’s passion lies in understanding market participants and effectively communicating analytical findings. A Minneapolis native, he excelled as a snow-ski jumper in his youth, and he holds prestigious designations, including MAI and CCIM.
Tiffany Hardekopf
Associate Appraiser
Tiffany joined the TAG Team in August of 2016 as an associate appraiser and administrative assistant and has been appraising since (the) Winter of 2014. She joined TAG to gain further experience and knowledge in the appraisal world and have the flexibility of being an appraiser. As a trainee appraiser, she is continuing to broaden her familiarity with various property types, as her goal is to become a Certified General Appraiser in the near future. As a licensed real estate agent since 2005, Tiffany also has an extensive background in residential real estate sales, leasing, and property management. “I love real estate in general, but my favorite part is figuring out what properties are worth.”
